Ingredients:
3–4 fresh Indian borage leaves (washed)
1½ cups of water
1 teaspoon honey or lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a boil.
- Tear the leaves slightly to release their aroma and add them to the boiling water.
- Lower the heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup.
- Add honey or lemon juice if desired.
How to use:
Drink warm, once or twice a day, especially for mild cough, cold, or sore throat relief.
🌿 Alternative Uses:
For cough or congestion: Crush a leaf and inhale its aroma or mix the juice with honey.
For skin irritation: Apply the crushed leaf gently to minor insect bites or rashes (do a patch test first).
⚠️ Note:
Indian borage is generally safe in moderate amounts, but it’s not a cure for serious infections or chronic illnesses like herpes, arthritis, or sciatica. Always consult a healthcare provider before using it as a treatment, especially if pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication.
