Ingredients
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter (optional but delicious)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter (for chocolate layer — optional)
🍯 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Oat Mixture
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles gently.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and peanut butter (if using).
- Add oats and mix until fully coated.
2️⃣ Layer the Bars
- Press half of the oat mixture firmly into a lined baking dish.
- In a microwave or saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with peanut butter until smooth.
- Pour chocolate mixture over the bottom oat layer.
3️⃣ Add the Top Layer
Crumble or lightly press the remaining oat mixture on top.
4️⃣ Chill
Refrigerate for 2–3 hours or until fully set.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
✨ Tips
Want firmer bars? Add ½ cup more oats.
Want richer chocolate? Add extra chocolate chips.
Add-ins: chopped nuts, coconut, or a pinch of sea salt on top.
