Ingredients:
1 cup of extra virgin olive oil (or sesame oil)
1 tablespoon of black peppercorns
1 tablespoon of turmeric powder (or a few slices of fresh turmeric root)
1 teaspoon of grated ginger (optional)
2–3 cloves of garlic (optional)
Instructions:
- Warm the olive oil gently in a saucepan (do not boil).
- Add the black pepper, turmeric, and any optional ingredients.
- Let the mixture infuse on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool.
- Strain the oil and store it in a glass bottle.
How it’s used (traditional use):
A teaspoon in warm water or herbal tea, once a day.
Can also be massaged on sore joints or muscles.
