Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients
In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and salt. - Add Milk
Gradually pour in the milk while whisking to dissolve the cornstarch mixture completely. - Heat Gently
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture begins to thicken (about 5–7 minutes). - Add Eggs (optional)
If using egg yolks:
In a separate bowl, whisk the yolks.
Slowly add a few spoonfuls of the hot milk mixture to the yolks
