Ingredients
1 lb (450g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
4 large eggs
½ cup biscuit mix (Bisquick or similar)
1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp paprika (optional, for color)

- Preheat Oven
Heat oven to 180°C / 350°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish or medium baking dish. - Cook the Sausage
In a skillet, brown the sausage with the chopped onion until fully cooked.
Drain any excess grease. - Layer the Dish
Spread the cooked sausage evenly in the bottom of the pie dish.
Top with Monterey Jack + half the cheddar cheese. - Make the Custard Mixture
In a bowl, whisk together:
Eggs
Milk
Biscuit mix
Garlic powder
Salt and pepper
Pour this smooth mixture over the sausage and cheese.
- Add Final Cheese
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar on top. - Bake
Bake 35–40 minutes until golden brown, puffed, and set in the center. - Rest & Serve
Let cool 10 minutes before slicing so it holds together beautifully.
