Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tbsp butter (or olive oil)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried parsley + oregano)

Juice of ½ lemon

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp:
    Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Cook the Garlic:
    In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter (or heat olive oil). Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant—don’t burn it!
  3. Cook the Shrimp:
    Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Add Lemon and Seasoning:
    Squeeze in lemon juice and toss everything together to coat evenly. Cook another 30 seconds.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    Sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Serve hot with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter sauce.

🍽 Tips

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.

To make it creamy, stir in ¼ cup of heavy cream at the end.

Perfect served over linguine or with roasted vegetables.
