Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
3 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Season the Steak: Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Sear: Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, until nicely browned.
- Add Garlic Butter: Lower the heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Stir gently until butter melts and garlic is fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Finish & Serve: Toss steak in the garlic butter to coat. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
🥔 Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) baby potatoes
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh chives or parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Boil: Place potatoes in salted water and boil until fork-tender (about 15 minutes).
- Smash: Drain and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Gently smash each potato with a fork or glass.
- Season: Brush with melted butter, sprinkle garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Bake: Roast at 425°F (220°C) for 20 minutes until crispy.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle with cheese and bake another 5 minutes until melted.
- Serve: Garnish with herbs and serve alongside the steak bites.
🍽️ Serving Tip
Serve the steak bites on top of the cheesy smashed potatoes and drizzle extra garlic butter from the pan over everything. Add a side of steamed green beans or asparagus for a complete meal.
