Fluffy Baked Cream Cheese Squares

Ingredients:

500 g cream cheese (softened)

4 eggs (separated)

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

½ cup melted butter

¾ cup flour

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F). Line a baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, cream cheese, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Sift in the flour and salt, mixing until fully combined and creamy.
  5. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter in two or three additions.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
  8. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool completely before cutting into squares.

Tip:
Serve chilled with a dusting of powdered sugar or drizzle of honey for a melt-in-your-mouth treat.
