Ingredients:
500 g cream cheese (softened)
4 eggs (separated)
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
½ cup melted butter
¾ cup flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F). Line a baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, cream cheese, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift in the flour and salt, mixing until fully combined and creamy.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter in two or three additions.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
Tip:
Serve chilled with a dusting of powdered sugar or drizzle of honey for a melt-in-your-mouth treat.
