Creamy Baked Meatball Pasta Casserole

Ingredients:

500 g ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg

½ cup breadcrumbs

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tsp Italian seasoning

2 tbsp olive oil

300 g pasta (penne or rigatoni)

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp flour

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

½ tsp paprika

Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Make the meatballs: In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Shape into small balls.
  2. Brown the meatballs: Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden on all sides. Set aside.
  3. Cook the pasta: Boil pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  4. Make the creamy sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add beef broth, stirring until thickened. Pour in cream, paprika, and cheese; stir until smooth.
  5. Assemble: In a baking dish, mix pasta with the creamy sauce. Arrange meatballs on top and sprinkle more cheese if desired.
  6. Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes, until bubbling and golden.
  7. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy warm.
