Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
½ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 small apples, peeled and chopped
Cinnamon Swirl:
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Glaze (optional):
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk or cream
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and milk; mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir in chopped apples.
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before drizzling with glaze.
