INGREDIENTS
4–6 large tortillas
400 g (1 lb) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1 bell pepper or green onions (chopped)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
1 cup béchamel sauce or ½ cup cream (optional but makes them creamy)
Salt & pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp oregano
1 tbsp tomato paste
Fresh parsley for topping
👩🍳 INSTRUCTIONS
- Cook the Beef Filling
- Heat a pan with a little oil.
- Add onions and sauté until soft.
- Add garlic and ground beef. Cook until browned.
- Mix in paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and tomato paste.
- Add chopped green onions or peppers.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Assemble the Wraps
- Lay a tortilla flat.
- Spread a thin layer of béchamel or cream (optional).
- Add a generous layer of the cooked beef.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Roll tightly like a log.
- Bake
- Place rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
- Spread a little more béchamel or cream on top.
- Add extra cheese.
- Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
