Ingredients
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips (or caramel chips)
1 cup smooth peanut butter
3 cups Rice Krispies cereal (or any puffed rice cereal)
1 cup mini marshmallows (optional for extra chew)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
🧈 Instructions
- Prepare the pan:
Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside. - Melt the chocolate mixture:
In a large saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, butterscotch (or caramel) chips, and peanut butter.
Heat over low heat, stirring continuously until completely melted and smooth. - Add flavor:
Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. - Mix in the crunch:
Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal (and marshmallows, if using) until evenly coated. - Set and cool:
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Tap gently to remove air pockets. - Chill:
Refrigerate for about 1–2 hours or until firm. - Cut and serve:
Once set, cut into squares or bars. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.
