Cheesy Beef Biscuit Sliders

Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp sugar

½ tsp salt

½ cup cold butter (cubed)

¾ cup cold milk (or buttermilk)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

For the Filling:

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    Set to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare biscuits:

Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl.

Cut in butter until crumbly.

Stir in milk and ½ cup cheese until a soft dough forms.

Roll out to about ½ inch (1.3 cm) thick and cut into rounds.

Place half the rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  1. Cook the beef filling:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned.

Drain excess fat.

Add garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

Stir in cheese until melted and combined. Remove from heat.

  1. Assemble sliders:

Spoon some beef mixture onto each biscuit bottom.

Cover with another biscuit round.

Sprinkle tops with the remaining cheese.

  1. Bake:

Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Tips

You can use store-bought biscuit dough for a quicker version.

Add a slice of pickle or a bit of mustard inside for extra flavor.

These freeze well — reheat in the oven to keep them crispy.
