Ingredients:
1 kg (2.2 lbs) chicken thighs or breast (cut into strips)
2 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tsp ginger (grated)
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: chopped parsley or sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the chicken:
Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides (about 5–6 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- Make the glaze:
In the same pan, add garlic and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and vinegar.
Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Combine:
Return the cooked chicken to the pan.
Toss to coat in the glaze.
Simmer for another 3–4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken until it’s sticky and glossy.
- Serve:
Transfer to a bowl or plate, drizzle with remaining sauce, and garnish with parsley or sesame seeds.
